Bezel Set Engagement Rings
The term "bezel" refers to the metal rim which completely encircles a diamond. This is in contrast to more common setting types, such as prongs, which grip the diamond from set points. A bezel setting provides maximum security, both holding the diamond firmly in place, and protecting all sides from chipping. This makes the bezel setting an excellent choice for those with an active lifestyle, who do not intend to remove their ring. Our bezel set engagement rings are easy to clean, do not snag, and require little if any long term maintenance. The negative to this extra security is that less light is allowed to enter the diamond, especially from side and bottom. While it is more common to see bezel settings employed in the mounting of accent stones, a center stone may also be bezel set, especially in more modern style engagement rings.
